Growing a dye garden- 3

The first week of May has had some unsettled weather, wind, rain, sunshine and cooler temperature. Some of the mini roof covers got nearly blown away and we found snails crawling under the roof above the carrots patch. We also discovered some interesting patterns looking like tread of yarn unfolding; did the snails create these?

In that turmoil of weather, the good news is that most of the seeds we sowed about a month ago have now turned into seedlings. Week after week they start to show strength and some of them are nearly ready to move to a bigger space.
